SUMMIT SKI MUSEUM
The museum is to highlight Breckenridge as the first ski town in Colorado. It covers the first 100 years of Summit County skiing — from 1860 to 1960.
The museum tells the story of skiing through the decades, from the first use of skis in the 1860s to the ski jumps of the 1910s and 1920s to the development of Arapahoe Basin Ski Area.
Exhibits include clothing, equipment, photographs and more from the time period covered. A special exhibit features the 10th Mountain Division of the U.S. Army.
