The Highlands

The Highlands at Breckenridge is the first distinctive community visitors reach on their way to downtown Breckenridge, from Frisco and Interstate 70.

This prestigious area is designed around the Breckenridge Golf Club, about 4 miles from the core of Breckenridge and Breckenridge Ski Resort. Much of the Highlands region is located south of Tiger Road, just a couple miles away from the award-winning Breckenridge Recreation Center, which offers indoor swimming pools, waterslides, hot tubs, racquetball and tennis courts and more.

Hand-hewn, log homes, western ranches and craftsman bungalows dot the area, with more than 70 homes directly bordering the Breckenridge Golf Club. These luxury homes offer the finest finishes throughout, from granite counter- tops and high-quality wood cabinets to plush sofas, beds and linens. Nearly every home features sets of expansive windows that open up views to the jagged, snow-covered peaks of the Ten Mile Range and the emerald green rolling hills of the golf course.

As guests drive into the Highlands, it’s difficult to say which vistas are more spectacular — those of a rustic wooden fence lining the manicured greens high- lighted by layers of pine trees and mountain peaks on the way into the neighbor- hood, or those of the white-capped apexes of the Ten Mile Range, with ski runs defining Peaks 7, 8, 9 and 10 as guests head out of the community, toward downtown Breckenridge.

Shock Hill

As guests enter Shock Hill, the impressive bridge constructed of stone, metal and timber makes it obvious that Shock Hill is one of Breckenridge’s most prestigious developments. It is located off of Ski Hill Road, at Breckenridge Ski Area’s gondola midway station. The luxury enclave offers some of the area’s best ski-in, ski-out locations. It is perched atop a high ridgeline, offering unob- structed views of Cucumber Gulch’s pristine, protected wildlife habitat. The BreckConnect gondola, which takes guests to a land of adventure on Breckenridge Ski Area’s Peak 8, is only a few steps from homes on Shock Hill. From the base of Peak 8, skiers and riders can hop on chairlifts taking them to inter- mediate groomed runs and catwalks that lead to more advanced terrain, including steeps and open bowls.
